Is there anything better than the smell of a sparkling clean home… when someone else did all the work? Most moms would say, “No!”
Cleaning house is a necessary chore but it may be good for your health to invest in a cleaning service every now and then. Most busy moms will attest to the fact that a clean and organized home makes the daily strains of parenting a bit more bearable. Can a clean home bring a semblance of sanity to a seemingly crazy home front?

The clean factor
Parenting is a messy job. Moms are often in the midst of clutter, both literally and figuratively. Whether they’re wiping sticky fingers or sorting through the mental chaos, a sense of calm can be painfully evasive, which is why a professionally cleaned home can make a huge difference in a mom’s mental health. When Heather, a mom of three from Arizona, walks in the door after her house has been cleaned, her mood immediately improves. “I know in the grand scheme of things, it’s not a huge deal but when my house has been cleaned, I feel like the rest of my life is suddenly organized,” she says.
Hire it out
It is the rare mom whom actually enjoys cleaning her own home, so many moms are willing to do what it takes to fit professional cleaning into their budgets. For some, the almost emotional reaction to a clean home is worth the cost. “While having a clean house is very important it is not important for me to be the one to clean it,” says Graciela Meibar, chief diversity officer for Mattel. “It’s not the best use of my time or gifts. A clean house gives way to a clear mind. It gives children a sense of security and order. It provides time and space — haven for the soul, in a world of chaos.”
A useful luxury
There are some luxuries that are plain and simple splurges, like a nice car or a killer pair of shoes. A professionally cleaned home, on the other hand, can be a useful luxury. With the weight of Sharjah cleaning services off her shoulders, a busy mom can focus on other areas of her life and breathe a bit easier knowing that at least her home will be in order.
Creative clean
Clearly, budget can be a huge issue for many moms, but they are still deserving of quality mental health. Greg Nicklas, general manager of Maid Brigade in Portland, Oregon provides moms with the following tips to help them experience a professional-caliber clean without the price tag:
Clutter is your No. 1 enemy. A cluttered home further stresses a person out and creates a thought of impossibility when it comes to the actual cleaning of the home.
Make it a point to spend 20 minutes a morning or at night going through and moving laundry to the proper receptacles, bills to a basket and dishes tended to.
Delegate — kids love to help out. Yes, they may not do a perfect job but running a vacuum is something even a 6-year-old typically finds entertaining
Unless you’re vying for a guest spot on a reality show about dirty houses, you probably spend at least some of your day wiping down counters and wondering why nothing ever stays sparkling.
Wouldn’t you rather do your cleaning in less time and save money to boot?

It may not necessarily be a hack, but having a cleaning caddy is a smart move. When all your bottles, rags and other supplies are in one place, getting the work done is quick and easy. Dubai Cleaning company

This isn’t just one cleaning hack. It’s six cleaning hacks, most of them very hands-off.
Here are all the miraculous things a little vinegar can do.
Were you a little grossed out to hear that wire from grill brushes was accidentally ending up in food and being ingested? Yeah, me too.
Rather than using a wire bristle brush, use a long fork to spear half an onion. Rub the cut side on your grill grates for an alternate way to clean them.
If you still use a hand cheese grater, you know what a pain they are to clean. Depending on the cheese you’ve used, there’s a good chance it’s been mushed down in between the grates and is mocking your attempts to remove it.
Rather than losing your sanity trying to clean all the crevices, pull out a potato and grate that. It’s hard enough that it should slough away the cheese, and then you can easily rinse off the grater.
Coffee smells fabulous in the morning, but when you shift gears and decide to grind spices or nuts, you don’t want them to remind you of your morning cup of joe.
For a blade grinder, use some stale bread or dry, uncooked rice to absorb the coffee smell and clean out your grinder. If you have a burr grinder (also called a burr mill), bread won’t work, but dried rice may.
Be aware that uncooked rice can be harder than coffee beans and may tax your grinder’s motor. Some companies say using rice as a cleaner will void the warranty.
Let furniture polish do double duty on your stainless steel appliances. Clean off any grime first and then spray on the polish and wipe dry.
To get a grease stain out of carpets or other surfaces, mix four parts rubbing alcohol with one part salt. Rub into the stain to lift the grease.
Then let the surface dry and wipe or vacuum up any leftover salt.
If only you could see the bacteria making itself at home on your supposedly clean cutting board.
Luckily, you can easily sanitize cutting boards by soaking them in a bleach solution.
Use 2 teaspoons of bleach per gallon of water for plastic boards and 2 tablespoons of bleach per gallon for wooden boards. You don’t need to soak them long — just a couple of minutes will do — and then rinse.
Of course, not everyone loves the idea of using bleach. For a more natural way to disinfect your cutting board, liberally sprinkle kosher salt on the board. Then cut a lemon in half and rub the lemon (cut side down) on the board.
The lemon juice should kill the bacteria, while the salt should scrub away any small particles of food that may be present.
Then you can use the other half of the lemon to scrub your faucets to make them shiny and clean as well.
Lampshades come in all sorts of shapes and materials, which can make it difficult to figure out how best to clean them.
A lint roller can be used on almost any shade to pick up dust and light dirt.
The exhaust fan in your bathroom could probably use a little TLC, but how on earth do you clean that?
Easy. Use some canned air (like the kind you would buy to clean a computer keyboard) and blow it into the fan to dislodge lint. Place a towel on the floor to collect the dust bunnies as they fall.
Even if you can’t see the dust in your fan, it’s a good idea to clean it on a regular basis. If too much lint builds up, your fan could burst into flames.
Another way to remove dust from vents such as those on window air conditioning units is to cover a butter knife with a rag and run it along the inside of each vent.
Despite what the commercials tell you, no special sham or wonder cleaning cloth is required.
Finally, give your dryer sheets another purpose in life by whipping them out when it’s time to clean your baseboards.
Running a sheet along the baseboards will remove dirt and help repel dust. What’s more, they might just make the room smell temporarily fresher too.

Is your house a mess? Do you find that you never have enough time to wash the dishes, make the beds, vacuum, and have a few minutes of free time for yourself? Are there things that need cleaning that you keep putting off? Do you settle for superficial cleaning when a room really requires a deep clean? If so, you may be in need of a cleaning service.
It doesn’t matter if you live in a rainy city like Orlando, Florida and track in a lot of mud, or if you live in a city with little rain – your house will inevitably need a periodic cleaning. This is especially true if you have small children or pets. Despite this, many people are apprehensive about spending money on a cleaning service. If you’re unsure of the benefits of a quality, professional cleaning team, here are a few reasons why it’s worth the money.
Freeing-up Time
When you hire a cleaning service, not only will your home actually shine, but you’ll free up time for yourself and your family. Whether you take up a hobby, spend time with the kids, work out, read a book, or tend to other household chores like gardening or repairs, a cleaning service can be a vital utility. Imagine returning home from a long day at work to a spic-and-span home. Just seeing the shine is worth it.
Saving You Money
While some people may think hiring a cleaning service is a needless expense, in truth, it can actually save you money. For someone who works from home, hiring a cleaning service can free up hours you could be earning money. In addition, a tidy, organized home will help you be more productive — you won’t have to clean up your work area every time you want to get something done.
Keeping You Healthy
For many people, messiness is cause for anxiety. They feel pressured to clean and frustrated when they don’t clean enough. Hiring Al Ain cleaning services
can alleviate that stress. In addition, being clean and organized will reduce the strain caused by lost keys, receipts, glasses and remote controls. What’s more, for allergy sufferers, eliminating dust and bacteria may do wonders for your breathing.
Tips
Be sure to only hire bonded and insured cleaners. However, despite this, if you have expensive jewelry, collectibles or cash at home, be sure to store these things in a safe location. Consider investing in a fireproof safe that attaches to a wall. Even if you trust your cleaning service, having valuable items in a safe place while someone else is in your home will still provide extra peace of mind.
Remember, a cleaner doesn’t replace the need to properly maintain your home. If you have chipping paint or other damage to your walls, the right person to call is a painter. But with a cleaning company taking care of the dirty work, you’ll have extra time to see to the small chores that need to be taken care of around the house.
If you’re in the position to hire someone else to clean for you, consider yourself lucky. Outsourcing some of your less-enjoyable domestic duties can save you both time and frustration, leaving you the kind of House Beautiful-worthy home you’ve always wanted with little elbow grease on your part.
However, inviting someone into your home to help with the housework can present its own challenges. As they’re making your home shine, housekeepers are also getting to know more about you than you think. From having to learn your precise method for cleaning granite counters to discovering some of your weirder habits and tendencies, these housekeeper secrets reveal that you can discover a whole lot about a person during the course of a day. Luckily, even if your home is less-than-spotless, you’ll still be sitting pretty when you incorporate these 30 Best Stylish Home Upgrades into your decorating scheme! Dubai Cleaning company
If you’re trying to keep things professional, or at least normal, with your housekeeper, try to remember where you’ve left those adult toys. Sheena Jones, owner of Royal Cleaning Services in Poughkeepsie, NY, says that a routine cleaning of a freezer yielded a discovery of sex toys and lubricant that had been left to chill. Remember: Just because sex toys are part of your life doesn’t mean they have to be on display. (And if your home is indeed sex-toy free, here are 30 ways you can change that immediately.)
Housekeepers have seen it all, so you don’t have to be embarrassed if your floors haven’t seen a mop in months. “As a cleaning supervisor, I’ve seen all kinds of messy situations throughout the years—from filthy towels to feces on the floor. The one thing that people should know is that housekeepers have their limits and if you wouldn’t touch something, they won’t either,” says Lauren Haynes, a cleaning supervisor at Star Domestic Cleaners. “If the situation happens to be unusual, you might need to discuss it with the housekeeper first.”
While you don’t have to do a deep-clean before your housekeeper comes over, straightening up is always appreciated. Jones recommends that clients put away “all toys and anything they don’t want seen, touched, or cleaned by the cleaner.” If you want a neater home, start by decluttering with these 20 Multitasking Beauty Products!
Your home says more about you than you think, even if consider yourself pretty adept at keeping your private life private. “We always know the following: how much sex you are having with your husband/wife, how the marriage is going (where clothes end up, if the guest bed is always being used, where your toothbrush is, etc.), whether you are an absent parent, and your financial situation,” says one housekeeper. Before your housekeeper discovers your divorce papers, make sure you’re not guilty of the 40 Worst Mistakes Married People Make!
Don’t assume you’re asking too much by requesting that your cleaner use a particular brand of detergent. Jones says that some clients will take her on a step-by-step guide of their cleaning process before she even starts work. “I literally had someone specifically show me how to clean their whole house and still pay me.”
Your housekeeper may see a lot about your life while cleaning your house, but, in general, they’re just trying to do their jobs. Most housekeepers aren’t actually intent on snooping on their clients. “I just wanted to reassure anyone who thinks their housekeepers regularly snoop on them. While I’m sure this may be true in some cases, most of them are good, hardworking people who wouldn’t even think of doing such a thing. You spend enough time sorting peoples clutter and you’re bound to find out something about them. Your eye will catch on a word or phrase while stacking papers. Vibrators get left in the shower. Things happen. It is, in no way them being malicious,” says one housekeeper.
Fido may be cute, but he’s not your housekeeper’s responsibility. Jones says that she’s routinely been asked to take care of clients’ pets when she was initially hired just to clean. If you want someone to walk your dog, hire a dog walker.
Having a housekeeper in your home can be an intimate experience, but that doesn’t mean you should treat them as a confidante. A housekeeper is many things, but therapist doesn’t number among them. “I am always amazed at how much sensitive crap clients pass to housekeepers,” says one housekeeper. “Much of it is unnecessary, but I think a lot of people have no other outlet. It’s hard on the housekeepers because they feel a lot closer to the clients—so when the client quits the service the housekeeper takes it hard.”
While some people assume that skipping their monthly cleaning will keep more cash in their bank account, the opposite is often true. As more time passes, more dust, pet hair, and general grime accumulate throughout your home, meaning a more thorough cleaning is required, often tripling or quadrupling your bill. “Don’t wait too long between regular cleanings thinking it will save money,” says Jones.
Hotel housekeepers have seen some wild things, but it’s more than just the usual stained sheets and overflowing garbage cans that they have to deal with. “I was once cleaning a room which had been left disgusting (standard food everywhere, condoms under the bed, the usual), but what made this place stand out is I went into the bathroom and they had painted the toilet seat pink. Instead of going to the pool or the beach or the local town or driving around the countryside, they had decided to stay in and paint the toilet seat pink,” reveals one hotel housekeeper.
Most cleaning experts recommend cleaning a bit at a time throughout your entire home to maintain a clean living space. However, we all know life gets busy. It may be time to spring clean — or perhaps your in-laws are coming for the weekend. No matter the reason, you need to get your entire house clean at once. These creative tips and tutorials help you to clean your house while saving time and money. Putting in a few hours of work rewards you with a clean and healthy home to relax in. cleaning sharjah
1. Use a cleaning checklist
Use a cleaning checklist to ensure that you remember to do all the necessary steps to thoroughly clean a room. This also allows everyone in the family to participate in the cleaning. They simply mark off the cleaning chore when finished.
2. Straighten up first
You can’t clean efficiently or effectively if there is stuff everywhere. Straightening up is the one thing that makes a major difference in how clean a room feels. Spend a couple of minutes straightening up before you clean. Do this in every room, and you will find you clean much faster.
3. Start a load of laundry
Start a load of laundry. Doing laundry consistently keeps laundry chores from taking over your entire afternoon. Throughout your whole house-cleaning session, keep your laundry room busy with washing any clothes that have piled up. At the end of the day, you can clean your laundry room and smile knowing all the laundry is caught up.
4. Eliminate dust
After a room is straightened up, it is ready to dust. Working from the top of the room to the bottom, work to sweep any dust downward. Pay attention to your light fixtures and ceiling fans — and don’t forget your curtains.
5. Clean the carpet
Once a room is thoroughly dusted, taking the time to allow dust to settle is important. After a few minutes, vacuum the room to grab dust and debris from the carpet. Use a carpet cleaner at least twice a year.
6. Make your bed
Making your bed should be a daily habit. It protects the sheets you spend so many hours on at night. It also makes a huge difference in the appearance of the room — from sloppy to nice and neat.
7. Clean the blinds
Blinds are often one of the most overlooked items in a home. They collect dust over time and can be difficult to clean. Creatively Southern has discovered the perfect cleaning method for blinds. She soaks them in the bathtub.
9. Get a streak-free shine
Using a great glass cleaner on your mirrors and windows saves you a lot of time. No one wants to re-clean anything, especially not streaky windows. But you don’t have to spend a fortune on commercial glass cleaners.
10. Restore your cabinets
Cabinets get grimy over time from the constant touching and cooking. Your hands leave oils on the wood and hardware, attracting dirt and causing a dark film. Try cleaning your cabinets with some vegetable oil. Dab mineral or vegetable oil on a paper towel to simply wipe away the grease.
When you walk into a room, it’s usually easy to see what needs to be cleaned up. There’s a pile of dirty laundry just waiting to be done; or the kitchen sink is piled with dirty dishes, pots, and pans.
But once the obvious things are cleaned away, do you forget about the rest of the room? Take a look at seven places you’re forgetting to clean.Sharjah Cleaning company
01
Undersides of Furniture
Woman looking under bed
When you look under a bed or sofa there are usually a few dust bunnies rolling around that can be quickly captured with a vacuum or dust mop. But did you take the time to look at the actual bottom of the furniture piece? You may be shocked at what you find clinging to bed frames, chair seats and table braces.
Use your vacuum or a dusting wand to get rid of spider webs and eggs, dust and grime at least two times per year.
02
Walls and Baseboards
a dirty baseboard
The Spruce
Dust and grime can cling to vertical surfaces as well as horizontal ones. Open the curtains or blinds and turn on all the lights and you’ll be amazed at how furry your walls may be. If you happen to have textured wallpaper, even more dust is lurking.
Start at the top of the wall and work down using a duster that traps particles. Finish by cleaning away any stray marks or body soil that may be around light switches and doorknobs.
Finish your wall cleaning by paying attention to baseboards. An amazing amount of dust can collect on those tiny ledges. In rooms like kitchens and baths where there is more humidity, you’ll probably need to wipe the baseboards down with a damp cloth because the moisture has turned the dust into soil that clings to the surface.
03
Tops of Cabinets, Doors, and Picture Frames
Cleaning Door Frames
When you’re cleaning, take time to look up. You may see more dirt than you’ll like. We tend to ignore what’s beyond our plane of sight. Routinely clean the top of door frames, kitchen and tall storage cabinets, picture frames and ceiling corners.
While you’re up there, check the light fixtures and ceiling fans. A disposable duster with an extendable handle is your best tool for capturing dust and spider webs. If you don’t have one, use a clean microfiber cloth and secure it to a broom or mop handle with a rubber band.
04
Air Filters and Vents
Air Filters
If your home has central heating or air, there is ductwork that connects the system to the living spaces of your home. The treated hot or cold air exits through vents and then returns to the air handling system.
If the air returning to the system isn’t filtered to trap dust and pollen particles, they will simply blowback into the living space. There are all types of filters, from very expensive HEPA filters to inexpensive mesh. Whatever type you use, they must be changed or cleaned to be effective. While you’re changing the filter, take time to clean the vent grates as well. You’ll breathe easier and have less dust on everything.
Be sure to treat single window unit filters and vents to a thorough cleaning, too.
05
Closet Floors
Closet
It’s easy to see when a closet needs to be cleaned out. The clothes are crammed together, the shelves are piled high and things fall on you when you open the door.
But when was the last time you cleaned the actual closet including the floor? Closet floors–especially if they are carpeted–can get dusty and dirty from the outside soil brought in by shoes. The carpet can become a breeding ground for mold and mildew and insects like carpet beetles that then chow down on your favorite clothes.
At least seasonally, pull everything out of closets and give the space a thorough cleaning. It’s also the perfect time to weed out and donate all those things you don’t really need and store the rest properly.
06
Vacuum Cleaners and Cleaning Tools
dish sponges
If all of your cleaning tools are dirty, then each time you use them you may just be spreading the dirt around. When was the last time you took a good long look at your vacuum, mop or scrubbing brushes?
Of course, you empty the debris cup or toss out the disposable bag in your vacuum. But the cup should be washed and cleaned thoroughly every month or so. Most can be washed in hot, soapy water and allowed to air dry. There are probably filters that should be washed or changed as well. Check the rotary bars and brushes and remove any tangled strings or hair. You’ll get better cleaning results and less dust.
All mop heads, sponges and scrubbing brushes should be cleaned with hot water and a disinfectant cleaner after every use. Kitchen sponges can harbor and spread dangerous bacteria if not handled properly.
07
Indoor Plants
Dusting Plants
Whether your indoor plants are real or silk, they can accumulate an amazing amount of dust. Most live plants will benefit from a quick trip under the showerhead. If they are too large to move, use a microfiber cloth or disposable duster to wipe down each leaf.
Silk plants can also be “dusted” with a cloth or by taking them outside and using a hairdryer set on cool to blow off the dust. To brighten individual stems of silk greenery or blossoms, place them in a paper bag with plenty of table salt or baking soda. Give the bag a good shake and much of the soil will remain in the salt or baking soda. Finish by dusting off any residue with a cool hairdryer before displaying.

This guide assumes you’ve got a regular cleaning system in the works — whether it’s a weekend marathon cleaning session (guilty) or a regular weekday routine — so instead we’ve focused on four to eight things in each room you’re probably not doing on a weekly or monthly basis — or you’re just overlooking all together (just look up at that dingy ceiling fan).
We’ve found a few better ways to make deep(ish) cleaning even easier — in many cases, using supplies you already have in your pantry or dresser drawer (think: baking soda and vinegar and an old pair of socks). To get started, just click on the circles on the graphic of each room to see the item and then click over to the story to see how it’s done.Bathroom
